Project Details

Description

BoNK-Fi project aims to create new ways of production of fibre based products for forest industry with the means of biorefinery technologies. These fibre based materials will find applications in composite technologies and anticorrosive coatings but also in traditional paper making, thus invigorating the forest industries. BoNK-Fi project will focus on the discovery of novel cellulose oxidizing enzymes, their characterization and application to different cellulose based materials but also investigating their ability to oxidize other canonic materials creating totally new concepts for materials preparation.
