Artistic and research interests
Timo Saarinen is a professor of information systems and electronic commerce at the department of Information and Service Management of the Aalto University School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in information systems from the Helsinki School of Economics. Timo Saarinen has published in major journals as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal for the Association of Information Systems, Information & Management and Journal of Strategic Information Systems. His research interests include management and economics of information systems and the development of efficient market-driven services, with the focus on the multi-channel environment of electronic business.
Timo Saarinen has served in many managerial positions in the Helsinki School of Economics and Aalto University School of Business. Currently he is a vice dean for teaching and learning.
His research interests include management and economics of information systems and the development of efficient market-driven services, with the focus on the multi-channel environment of electronic business.
