Personal profile

Artistic and research interests

My research focus is on cross-sector collaboration between corporations, nonprofits and governments in transnational contexts. Much of my empirical research concerns contexts of high institutional complexity such as transnational environmental issues and emerging fields. My research intersects organizational theory (mainly institutional theory), international business and social purpose.

Prior to joining academia I worked ten years in business consulting and took also part in volunteer work in the largest child welfare organization in Finland.

I earned my D.Sc. (Econ.) at Helsinki School of Economics in 2008, and was a Visiting Scholar at SCANCOR/Weatherhead (Harvard) and at Queen's University (Canada) during 2016.
