Artistic and research interests

Seongtae (Seo) Kim is an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management at Aalto University School of Business. Prior to Aalto, starting 2019, Seo was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, Switzerland. He obtained his PhD (2013-2016) in Supply Chain Management from the University of Hull’s Logistics Institute, United Kingdom. 

Seo's research interests include supply chain sustainability/ethics, supply chain risk and disruptions, complex supply networks, and digital transformation in supply chains. Currently, he serves as the Principal Investigator of the 4-year (2023-2027) Academy of Finland research project "Supply chain restructuring in light of mega disruptions: Moving toward a sustainable future".
