    Artistic and research interests

    Satu Herrala is currently working as the Artistic Director of Baltic Circle International Theatre Festival and doing part-time doctoral research at Aalto University Department of Art since 2016. Her research is framed around the question "What is possible in arts that is not possible otherwise". She is interested in the political potential of artistic event and focusing her research in two case studies where she worked as a co-curator; Make Arts Policy in collaboration with Eva Neklyaeva, Dana Yahalomi and Terike Haapoja in 2014 and Vuosttaš álbmogat (First Nations) in collaboration with Pauliina Feodoroff in 2017.
