Personal profile

Artistic and research interests

In my research work, I focus on fascinating topics in the field of mathematical statistics. One of my most significant research topis is multivariate extreme value theory. In addition to multivariate extreme value theory, I am doing research related to invariant coordinate selection (ICS), independent component analysis (ICA), functional data analysis (FDA), change point analysis, and analysis stationary processes. Since the beauty of pure mathematics and especially matrix algebra, has always taken my breath away, I also devote some of my time to research on the field of pure mathematics. My interest there lies on characteristics of meet and join (hyper)matrices. Applied work is also close to my heart. I am doing applied research related to epidemiology. The topics that interest me are cancer epidemiology and epidemiology of viruses. Doing applied work enables me to contribute to research that may have significant public health implications.
