Artistic and research interests

I am Assistant Professor at Aalto University, Department of Energy and Mechanical Engineering (Marine and Arctic Technology) and the leading professor of the Research Group on Safe and Efficient Marine and Ship Systems. Our research focuses on the analysis of marine risks and safety systems engineering with applications in the concepts of smart shipping and ship winter navigation. My work focuses on the development of methods, processes, and tools for modeling and analyzing the risks, safety, and resilience of ship and marine systems to support the design of advanced ship concepts and technologies and ensure the management of safety in maritime traffic operations.
