    D.Sc. (Tech.) Marjatta Louhi-Kultanen is an Assoc. Prof. of Chemical Engineering in Aqueous Systems in the School of Chemical Engineering at Aalto University. The main lines in her research strategy are separation science with the aim to develop purification and separation technologies, to enhance recovery and recycling of substances and to approach zero-discharge effluents. Focus areas are a) purification, separation and concentration by crystallization and down-stream processing, b) wastewater treatment, c) advanced oxidation processes, and d) real-time process monitoring and process analytical technology.
