Artistic and research interests

Before joining the Department of Computer Science, Mario was a research associate at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the University of Texas at Arlington in the US. He was an adjunct faculty at the same department between 2012 and 2014.

Mario obtained his Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering from the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Pisa in May 2009, under the supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Anastasi. He was a research fellow at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in 2009.
