Personal profile

Artistic and research interests

I want to make topics that chemistry and  chemical engineering students struggle with easier to understand. To this effect, the development of new teaching and assessment methods that facilitate both learning and well-being have been my passion ever since my first teaching assistant position at the University of Helsinki.

In addition to my pedagogical and educational psychology research, I have authored eighteen peer-reviewed publications on theoretical chemistry topics from computational ab initio simulations of atmospherically and electrochemically relevant processes to the development of new activity coefficient models for uni-univalent electrolytes in classical thermodynamics. This body of work has provided me with a strong theoretical background on the physical chemistry topics I teach.
