    Kauko Viitanen is a professor emer. of real estate economics and valuation at the Dept. of Built Environment at Aalto University. Former associate prof. of land management, over 40 years work experience in public and private sector. Prof. Viitanen has been eg. chair of the Board of Real Estate Valuation at the Chamber of Commerce, the Finnish Association for Real Estate Valuation, the Doctoral Program for Built Environment, and the Com. 9, Valuation and Management of Real Estate at the International Federation of Surveyors. His interest areas are in real estate economics, valuation, land management, land policy, real estate development, plan implementation, property taxation, and future studies.
