    Artistic and research interests

    Dr Kai Puolamäki is a Professor of Practice at the Department of Computer Science in Aalto University. His primary interests lie in the areas of data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and related algorithms.

    He is especially interested in explorative data analysis, in being able to make analytic decisions with the help of large heterogenous data sources, and in introducing new methods and computational concept into other sciences and application areas.
