    Artistic and research interests

    Multidisciplinary R&D collaboration and applied geosciences,  PhD focused in hydrogeology from University of Helsinki. Recent examples include AMD, mineral composition and electro-chemical characteristics of low sulfide mining tailings, mineral interactions in forest soils affecting growth of certain fungal species. Ongoing research activities focus on the use of remote laser-techniques in assessing mineral composition and engineering geological properties or rocks.

    Responsible project leader in  the Efficient & safe identification of minerals: smart real-time methods, Challenge Finland funding by Tekes, , 456 000€.

    Principal Investigator LaserInsitu, Academy of Finland, Mineral Resources and Substitutive Materials. Responsible investigator of the Consortium, 447 000 € (Total consortium budget 1.5 M€)

    Responsible Project Leader Laser diffraction monophotogrammetry project. “From research ideas to business development-programm by Tekes, 350 000€

    Project Manager European Commision/FP7, Petrus III-project “Implementing sustainable E&T programmes in the field of Radioactive Wastes” 132 000 €

    Past experience as a responsible scientist, project manager or co-ordinator includes over 7 EU-funded projects and several commercial undertakings in 2000 and 2009, as a senior scientist and chief scientist of Geological Survey of Finland.
