Personal profile
Artistic and research interests
Currently, I am working as a doctoral researcher at the Water & Development Research Group of Aalto University. In my research projects, different future studies approaches are being used, aiming at finding pathways to reduce the environmental impact of our present food system from global to farm scale. The work particularly focusses on circular food systems and integrated crop-livestock systems. To do so, I enjoy using both technical and social research approaches, like food systems modelling, participatory planning and serious games. I characterise myself as an interdisciplinary generalist rather than a specialist in any discipline, which means that I enjoy being involved in several contrasting projects related to food, farming and water. At the moment, I am working in some of my colleagues' projects related to regenerative farming and water resources management.
My present teaching and mentoring activities take place within the Sustainable Global Technologies programme.
