Art educator Heikki Heinonen is a doctoral student at Aalto ARTS, Department of Art and Media. He works as a visual art teacher at Helsinki Upper Secondary School of Visual Arts (Helsingin kuvataidelukio, also known as Torkkeli). His doctoral research deals with the connections between social justice and socially engaged contemporary art in the context of contemporary art education.
