Nanomagnetism and Spintronics

Organisation profile

Organisation profile

The Nanomagnetism and Spintronics (NanoSpin) Group focuses on experimental studies of magnetic, magneto-optical, and spin-transport phenomena in new functional materials and hybrid nanoscale structures. Current research topics include electric-field control of ferromagnetism, spin transport in ferrimagnetic and ferroelectric tunnel junctions, and magneto-plasmonics of patterned nanostructures.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. Our work contributes towards the following SDG(s):

  • SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being
  • SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy
