Equipments Details

Description

OtaNano – Nanomicroscopy Center (NMC) provides high resolution microscopy for imaging and characterisation of hard, soft and biological materials. The devices are mainly available for individual use, and for companies also as a service. Safety and user trainings are mandatory before getting access to use the devices. Courses are organised on need and on a regular basis as part of the Aalto University curriculum.

NMC equipment include the only sub-Ångström transmission electron microscope (TEM) in Finland, liquid helium cooled cryo-TEM, three other TEMs, scanning electron microscopes (SEM), an atomic force microscope (AFM) and X-ray scattering devices (SAXS/WAXS/XRD).
