Description

OtaNano – Low Temperature Laboratory (LTL) is one of the world centres in ultra low temperature physics and technology. The leading position is based on vigorous in-house development and construction of sub-mK refrigerators. The facility is important for researchers and companies working with cryogenic applications. LTL is partner in the European Microkelvin Platform.

Safety and user trainings are required to get access to the facility. Courses are organised on need.

The facility forms a broad selection of devices for research in low temperatures and nano electronics. It includes a collection of cryostats for sub 1 K research, three nuclear demagnetization cryostats for sub mK temperatures and other research equipment, including micro-Raman and atomic force microscope for sample characterisation. Electron beam litography is available for sample fabrication with 50 nm resolution in a semi-cleanroom environment.
