      Description

MIDAS is a major research infrastructure for Microelectronics, Digital and Autonomous Systems, and Communications Networking Research. It is operated by the School of Electrical Engineering. MIDAS encompasses state of the art laboratories for micro- and nano electronics, photonics, Integrated Circuits Lab, space systems, robotics and autonomous systems, as well as a wide range of communications engineering and networking facilities, including anechoic chambers and next-generation test networks. Aalto University’s full-scale xG cellular test network — a part of national FUWIRI lighthouse infrastructure— is also integrated within MIDAS. MIDAS supports diverse research groups and topics, offering capabilities from nanoelectronics devices up to large-scale mobile networks, and covering frequencies from DC to THz range.
