This replication package provides detailed instructions for replicating the results presented in the article: H. Bai, A. Shevchenko, and R. Kolkowski, "Recovery of topologically robust merging bound states in the continuum in photonic structures with broken symmetry", Nanophotonics, 14(7), 899-913 (2025), https://doi.org/10.1515/nanoph-2024-0609.

The replication instructions are provided in the PDF document "Recovery_of_merging_BICs__Replication_instructions.pdf", which contains:
- short introductory notes on the computations,
- a reprint of Fig. 2 and its caption,
- a detailed instruction on how to create a COMSOL model file for replicating the results presented in Fig. 2,
- replication instructions for Figs. 2b-e and 2h, together with Python codes to plot the results,
- brief instructions on how to replicate the other results presented in the article.

The dataset is organized into two folders:
- "Data_and_plotting_codes", which contains the original data and the Python codes to plot them (for Figs. 2b-d, 2g-i, 3b-e, 3h-i, 4b-e, 5, 6a-c, 6e, 7b-c, 7e-g, and 8), and several COMSOL model files containing the solutions and plots of electric field distributions (for Figs. 2e-f, 3f-g, 4f, 6d, 7d, and 7h)
- "Replication_of_Fig2", containing the COMSOL model files (including a model file with solution and plot for Fig. 2e) created by following the replication instructions in "Recovery_of_merging_BICs__Replication_instructions.pdf", together with the replicated data for Figs. 2b-d and 2h, and the Python codes to plot them.
