Description

This dataset supports the IEEE Open Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems publication "Mobile Laser Scanning for Road Pavement Distress Detection". This dataset contains mobile laser scanning (MLS) point cloud data of paved road, collected in 2019 in Kirkkonummi, Finland, using two systems: PPS-plus as the high-accuracy reference system and Roamer-R4DW as a conventional MLS platform. The dataset is organized into two parts:

Part A (50m): Five 10-meter validation sections with manual annotations (Class 3) for PPS-plus reference and Roamer-R4DW MLS data.
Part B (200m): A continuous 200-meter road strip divided into 20 sequential files to test algorithmic generalizability and continuity.

Data is provided in .laz format and includes README.pdf file.
