Description

This dataset was generated using the Image Source Method (ISM) implemented in MATLAB, which is mathematically equivalent to the deterministic ray tracing engine available through the MATLAB Antenna Toolbox (raytrace function with 'Method','image'). Unlike stochastic geometry-based channel models (GSCM) described in ETSI TR 138.901 Clause 7.5, every multipath component (MPC) in this dataset corresponds to a physically traced geometric ray propagating through the three-dimensional room. The dataset therefore exhibits spatial consistency: neighbouring UE positions share structurally similar channel responses with smoothly varying delays and angles.
The Indoor Hotspot (InH) Open Office scenario defined in ETSI TR 138.901 Section 7.2 was selected for its direct relevance to 5G indoor deployments and its geometrically tractable rectangular form. A single base station (BS) equipped with a 16-element uniform linear array (ULA-16) is ceiling-mounted at the room centre, and 1,500 user equipment (UE) positions are drawn uniformly at random from the floor plane. The 3.5 GHz carrier frequency (FR1, NR Band n78, 100 MHz bandwidth) represents the primary 5G mid-band deployment in current and near-future commercial networks.
