Description

Clipped DEM and Hillshade of Mokka Fjord ring forms on Axel Heiberg Island, Nunavut, Canada collected with the AkhkaR4DW, a backpack mobile laser scanning system, in July 2019. This system is used to kinematically collect high-precision 3D topographic data (Kukko et al., 2012; Liang et al., 2015; Kukko et al., 2017, 2020; Hyyppä et al., 2020). These data products include a bare earth DEM and Hillshade with 5 cm/pixel resolution that were created using Whitebox Geospatial Analysis Tools (GAT), an open-source geospatial data analysis software developed by Professor John Lindsay at the University of Guelph (Lindsay, 2014, 2016). More details abotu these data products can be found in Hibbard et al., The Cryosphere, 2025.
