Description
WEE Congress 2022 explored ways to adopt the gender-responsive approach to businesses in the context of ongoing war and support women for their economic empowerment and encouraged the private sector to join the WEPs global team and apply WEE principles to support the economic recovery of Ukraine.Key Objectives:
• Initiate dialogue with business on women empowerment in times of the full-scale war,
• Present and discuss the good practice of the private sector in Ukraine and abroad on women's economic empowerment (WEE),
• Promote Women`s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) as an effective toolkit to achieve gender equality and women’s empowerment in the marketplace and community to media, advertisers, and content creators,
• Facilitate partnership of private business companies and development partners with women entrepreneurs to provide support in their efforts to participate in supply & value chains.
Participants:
• Business associations, employers’ organizations, and CSOs working on WEE,
• HR and marketing teams,
• Entrepreneurs and start-uppers,
• Private sector sustainability leads who aim to create new economic possibilities for women in Ukraine, and to make their businesses more gender sensitive.
