Description

The purpose of this six-day workshop was to learn and practice the early modern tailoring techniques used to fashion doublets, resulting in the production of a half-scale doublet by each participant. The workshop was taught by Melanie Braun, the Head of Wardrobe at the Nationale Reisopera, Enschende (NL) and teacher at the School of Historical Dress (UK); Claire Thornton, teacher at the School of Historical Dress (UK); and Jenny Tiramani, principal at the School of Historical Dress (UK);
