Prioritizing participatory planning solutions: developing priority categories based on PPGIS data

Despite the intensive development of participatory planning methods andprocesses, the practice of participatory planning still suffers from lack ofapproaches that promote influential participation with workable solutionsand increased understanding, trust and satisfaction among participants. Cities trying to develop participatory practices alsostruggle to find ways how to effectively use data produced in participationprocesses. Because the available resources are typically limited, the questions related to prioritization emerge: how to use various types of userknowledge and how to pick the most relevant information or the most urgent improvement solutions among the many suggestions by participants?
