Senior Advisor on Development Policy

Advising the ministry and Finnish embassies on development and water-related aspects in both bilateral and multilateral settings. Key themes I worked included e.g. water diplomacy, water resources management, water-energy-food security nexus and water supply, sanitation and hygiene i.e. WASH across the Finnish development policy priority areas (gender, economic growth, democracy & human rights, and climate change & natural resources). Key contexts I worked included Asia (Nepal), East Africa (Ethiopia and Kenya) as well as the UN system, European Union and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe OSCE/ETYJ.
