The IEEE IGARSS 2024 symposium, themed "From Data to Knowledge and from Knowledge to Wisdom," successfully catered to students and young researchers passionate about Earth Observation (EO) data access and retrieval. The program provided participants with essential skills in remote sensing, EO exploitation, machine learning, the Internet of Things, and data fusion for developing customized applications. Leading experts from academia and research institutions offered theoretical insights and hands-on training, inspiring further engagement in EO. The summer school focused on key areas such as Atmosphere/Health/Urban and Agroecosystems/Sustainable Agriculture/Food Security. Attendees benefited from lectures on remote sensing, in situ measurements, sensors, and satellite data, along with practical sessions on cutting-edge instrumentation and data processing techniques, including low-cost sensor operation.
