Description

The exhibition displayed the final works produced by the students in the course "Green Area Planning_2016". The proposals included the definition of meaningful and multifunctional GREEN INFRASTRUCTURES and the maximization of the associated ECOSYSTEM SERVICES in the following cities: Gävle and Söderhamn (Sweden), Riga and Jelgava (Latvia) and Turku (Finland).

Apart from the formal definition of Green Infrastructures, the displayed works explored the performance of the proposed Green Infrastructures, assessing with the adequate indicators their environmental, ecological and social functions, making objective and transmittable the benefits that they could provide, and showed how all the scales and contexts can contribute to the CREATION OF MORE SUSTAINABLE REGIONS AND CITIES.
