Delivering presentation "CSDDD implications on Ukrainian private sector and preparedness of companies in Ukraine for the mandatory corporate sustainability due diligence in the EU" at the conference "Change drivers: business for and about people"

Description

The conference "Change drivers: business for and about people" was held by Global Compact Network and UNDP on December 10, 2024 in the frame of the project "Implementation of SDGs in Ukraine in the Context of Recovery from the War and Towards European Integration", aimed to ensure that Ukrainian national indicators are finalized in line with the EU accession agenda, with particular focus on human rights, inclusiveness, and non-discrimination.

The delivered presentation identified gaps, challenges, and opportunities for Ukrainian private sector to align with CSDDD requirements, and presented options on how Ukrainian businesses can be able to scale up their business operations while respecting human rights and environmental protection, due diligence in line with CSDDD and UNGPs, as well as identify what measures the government should undertake to support private sector in introducing and implementing corporate sustainability due diligence requirements.
