SPACE INVADERS V - TOLERANCE 18.5.2017 Hiedanranta, Lielahti mansion Maija Jokela is a sociologist who is doing her PhD research on local activism and its political and physical spaces in Helsinki. She does like Restaurant Day unlike Anna Jensen. In their workshop they, together with the participants, critically explore the phenomena and concept of the current “urban activism” that many cities are now embracing to attract tourists and wealthy residents. Is it all nice and harmless like the discourse suggests - and should it be? Who benefits? Who’s city is it building?"
