Research within the built environment including architecture, architectural technology, construction, building engineering and design disciplines often deal with applied research with relevance to practice. Also, as design approaches are holistic, applied research within the built environment is often interdisciplinary combining methods, tools and approaches from specific disciplines. Three casestudies with different perspectives, methods, and scales are presented and open for discussion.
